    Lentil Chili

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound of lentils
    • 1 or 2 16-ounce cans stewed tomatoes
    • 1 package onion soup mix
    • 1 teaspoon cumin
    • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder

    Directions

    Simmer lentils in five cups of boiling water for 30 minutes on low heat. Do not drain. Add the remaining items and continue to heat on low for 10 minutes.

    (175 calories per cup)
