This class is for after your baby is born. Parents and baby are welcomed back to the classroom for the new challenges of baby care and parenting.
Educators and lactation consultants will answer parent questions and review topics such as baby care, growth and development, weight gain, lactation and feeding issues, and facing new challenges. Attend as many classes as desired. Family members and siblings age 6 and older are welcome.
Registration is not required.
If there is inclement weather, Mayo Clinic Health System will likely cancel class.

This monthly evening virtual group class via Zoom is designed for women who are considering breastfeeding or have decided to breastfeed. It covers the benefits of breastfeeding and information needed to achieve breastfeeding goals. Register for your preferred date to take the class using the "Register" link, and we'll email you a Zoom link to join the class. See additional class availability on the calendar. Additional breastfeeding classes are offered from 2-3:30 p.m.

This monthly class is for moms at 24–32 weeks' gestation and their support person. It's taught by lactation counselors who will help expectant parents learn the basics of breastfeeding. Topics include establishing a successful breastfeeding relationship; frequency and feeding cues; holds, positions and latch-on techniques; choosing a breast pump; pumping and storing breast milk; and maintaining milk supply. Participants should bring the "Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy" book they received from their clinic.
Registration is required and class size is limited.

Class cancellations
If a class is canceled, we'll make every attempt to reach you by phone or email. We reserve the right to cancel any class that does not meet minimum size requirements. If local schools are cancelled, so are prenatal education offerings. Alternative classes will be offered whenever possible. Call 507-594-4607 for cancellation or postponement information.
This virtual monthly gathering on Zoom is for informal conversation, camaraderie and support for women after the death of a spouse or significant other.
You will receive the Zoom link after registering.
We also offer a women's in-person Common Bonds Grief Support group
This four-week group will focus on grief during the holidays. Grief is hard enough throughout the year, and it often is magnified during the holiday season. The group will offer extra support and connect through this often-challenging time. Attend as many sessions as you'd like.
Room location will be given upon registration.
2024 schedule change: Beginning January 2024, the Nursing Moms Network in Eau Claire will meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month. It will no longer meet weekly.
This weekly drop-in group is for families to work through the natural ups and downs of breastfeeding with a lactation consultant and the support of other families. Bring your baby and come as you are to this informal group. The group is facilitated by certified lactation consultants. An infant scale is available should you want to weigh your baby.
Park in the south lot, behind the 727 Building. The back entrance door will lead directly to the cafeteria.

This group is for new mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding. Baby Cafe is a national network of breastfeeding drop-ins, combining breastfeeding information in a relaxed, informal environment where mothers can chat and learn about breastfeeding from skilled practitioners and each other. Registration is not required, this is a drop-in offering.

In this virtual class, you will learn how our comprehensive program of dietary counseling, behavior modification, exercise, medication and surgery can lead to a healthier life.
We'll answer these and other questions:
- What weight-loss options are available?
- What are the benefits and risks of surgery?
- What can I expect if I decide to have weight-loss surgery?
- How do I get started?
This virtual multiweek exercise class is for people with chronic pain conditions. Participants will learn a basic exercise routine and get education about living with chronic pain. The class is hosted by Mayo Clinic Health System Rehabilitation Services staff.
Do not participate in this class if you have any of these conditions:
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Uncontrolled heart rhythms (arrhythmia)
- Difficulty breathing
- New neurologic symptoms that you have not discussed with your physician, such as dizziness, blurry vision, change in taste or smell
If you have any of the above conditions, but your symptoms are controlled well with medication or inhalers and your provider has cleared you to exercise, it is safe for you to participate.
This in-person support group is a great way to meet local moms, ask questions about lactation and newborn care, and check your baby’s weight. Education topic or speaker will vary each week. This group is designed for young adults — ages 18-45 — diagnosed with cancer and their significant others. A cancer diagnosis affects many important parts of life, including relationships, careers, finances, children and body image. Sharing thoughts and feelings, especially with other young adults with cancer, can be very helpful. Meetings are open to young adults affected by cancer regardless of treatment location.
