| Clinical Practicum (Experience in administering anesthetics in the clinical area under the direct supervision of an MDA-CRNA). Approximately 900 surgical/ obstetrical procedures are experienced. Students are also provided instruction in Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and pain management; Basic Life Support (5 hours); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (16 hours); and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (8 hours). Assignment in the clinical arena coincides with classroom instruction. |

Clinical affiliations
All of these hospitals provide students with exceptional hands-on learning experiences. Students rotate to approximately 3 locations during their 2nd year in the program and approximately 6 locations during the 3rd (final) year of the program. Transportation and lodging are the responsibility of the student. Some but not all rotations beyond a commuting distance from La Crosse offer housing.
