Javier Cardenas, M.D.

I'm a friendly specialist, with more than 20 years of experience in women's care. I started my practice in Dallas, Texas, and have been at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato for nearly 10 years. I have a conservative approach in caring for many of the gynecologic and obstetric issues affecting women at all stages of life.

I enjoy my free time with my wife, three children and three dogs. I like to travel and am a lifelong learner with multiple interests in the humanities. I received the 2015 Teacher of the Year Award at Mayo Clinic and the 2020 Values Award from Greater Mankato Community Service. I am a previous member of the board of directors and was chief of staff at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
