My main role in patient care is to give evidence-based recommendations. My philosophy about the physician-patient relationship is, "I make recommendations and the patient makes decisions."
I am married with 4 children. I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, backpacking and kayaking. I served in the United States Army as a physician for 11 1/2 years, mostly at Fort Bliss, Texas. I have served in the Army in some capacity since 2006 — enlisted medic, educated through the Army, active duty as a physician, and now, reserves as a physician.
