Our medical transportation options include:

• Ground ambulance: Our ground units provide high-quality emergency medical care and advanced life support at the scene and during transport. They respond to more than 70,000 emergency calls per year, serving communities across Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
• Air ambulance — airplane: Based in Rochester, Minnesota, our fixed-wing air ambulance is available 24/7 to bring patients to Mayo Clinic or other healthcare facilities as needed throughout the United States and parts of Canada.
• Air ambulance — helicopter: Our medical helicopters are dispatched within minutes to provide advanced care and rapid transportation. With bases in Rochester and Mankato, Minnesota, and Eau Claire, Wisconsin, air ambulances complete more than 2,500 missions annually.

All Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service vehicles are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Our emergency teams can perform advanced medical interventions, such as mechanical ventilation and blood administration, during transit.
