    Urology

The urologists and nurse practitioners in Red Wing are Mayo Clinic clinicians. They have advanced training in understanding and treating problems of the male and female urinary tract. These specialists work together as a team collaborating on patient concerns and situations. When needed, additional Mayo Clinic urologic experts are just a phone call away.

When surgery is needed, we offer a full range of surgical treatment options with strong emphasis on minimally invasive procedures that promote early recovery and decreased pain. State-of-the-art treatment is available for prostate, female incontinence, bladder and kidney cancers and disease, as well as urological trauma.

The Urology department diagnoses and treats a wide range of conditions affecting the urinary tract, kidneys, bladder and prostate.

These conditions include, but are not limited to:

    • Bladder cancer
    • Female urinary incontinence
    • Hematuria (blood in urine)
    • Impotence/erectile dysfunction
    • Kidney cancer
    • Kidney stones
    • Prostate cancer
    • Testicular cancer
    • Urinary tract cystitis (inflammation of a lesion or ulcer on the bladder, usually occurs in women)
