American College of Surgeons — National Surgical Quality Improvement Program
The American College of Surgeons National Surgical Quality Improvement Program praises a select group of hospitals for achieving a commendable composite score in either an "All Cases" category or a category which includes only "High Risk" cases, based on outstanding quality scores in eight areas of surgical care. La Crosse was recognized on the "High Risk" cases list.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) — Star Rating
La Crosse earned a 5-star rating in 2023. CMS measures the broad categories of mortality, safety of care, readmission, patient experience, and timely and effective care.
Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS)
