Franciscan Healthcare podiatry specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and care of conditions of feet and related problems of the ankle. We provide medical and surgical care for bunions, diabetic foot exams, nail and callous trim, warts, plantar fasciitis, fractures, heel spurs, ulcers and hammertoes.
While podiatry is separate from orthopedics and general surgery, we work closely with both departments for patients who have diabetic and peripheral vascular disorders affecting the feet.
Podiatry services are available in Arcadia, Decorah, Holmen, La Crosse, Prairie du Chien, Sparta and Tomah.
Appointments are offered via facility-to-facility video visits, which reduce the need to travel far and enable patients to receive care close to home.
For a facility-to-facility video visit, patients arrive to the clinic and a nurse connects them with the specialist via video. The innovative technology uses a Bluetooth stethoscope, a USB otoscope and high definition cameras that can move and zoom in for a high-quality physical exam and personal conversation with the specialist.
