Tairyn Velie, L.C.S.W.

As a licensed clinical social worker, I specialize in providing mental and emotional care to patients within our cancer center. I am passionate about treating each patient as a unique individual, taking the time to create specific care plans tailored to their specific needs and goals.

My work in hospice and skilled nursing facilities has taught me the profound importance of dignity, compassion and presence during treatment. This informs my approach to mental health support for our cancer patients. With deep empathy, I help guide them through the emotional complexities of cancer diagnosis, treatment and survivorship while focusing on empowerment and strength throughout their journey.

Outside of work, I enjoy time with my family, pets and friends. I read, camp and enjoy new experiences.
