    Provider's Bio

My practice philosophy is driven by Mayo Clinic values. During a prospective patient’s visit they can expect a thorough history and physical examination. To make the best shared decision with a patient regarding their diagnosis, I believe it is important to understand who the patient is as well as what diagnosis the patient has. With this in mind, a patient’s hobbies, lifestyle, family situation and their goals all factor into the decision-making process.

I received my undergraduate degree from Iowa State University, and I graduated first in my class as I completed my medical degree. During my fellowship year, I learned from world experts in sports medicine and developed unique skills for treating conditions of the shoulder, elbow, hip and knee.

My sports practice has an emphasis on treating conditions. In addition to my sports surgery practice, I perform manual and robotic partial and total joint replacement. I am uniquely positioned by Mayo Clinic to provide world-class care in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and the surrounding area.

I grew up in the Midwest, and I have a young family and a lovely wife. I enjoy spending time with family, reading and playing ice hockey.
