    Cancer Guide

Receiving a cancer diagnosis is shocking. You may feel overwhelmed with fear, anger, anxiety depression and helplessness. You may also worry where to start and how to get all your questions answered. During every step of your journey, our cancer guide in Barron will be there to offer support to you as a whole person — mind, body and spirit.

Our cancer guide is a specialized oncology professional who will help you work through your cancer diagnosis and treatment. As treatment begins, the cancer guide will:

    • Assess the impact of your cancer diagnosis on you and your and family.
    • Help you manage crisis points in dealing with cancer.
    • Coordinate referrals to other supportive therapies, such as spiritual care, nutrition services, palliative care and rehabilitation therapies.
    • Connect you and your family with community resources.

By offering a supportive presence, our cancer guide helps you explore the personal impact of cancer diagnosis and treatment. Your individual needs and concerns are addressed with the goal of minimizing distress and fostering coping strategies. Our cancer guide will help you from feeling overwhelmed as the emotional aspects — denial, fear, anxiety, sadness, guilt and loneliness — begin to set in. Additionally, our cancer guide will be there to share in your outlook of hope.
