By being tobacco free we further our mission to provide a healthy and safe environment for our patients, visitors and employees. Regional Laboratory and Radiology Services
All Mayo Clinic Health System Franciscan Healthcare regional clinics have on site laboratory and radiology (x-ray) services to meet the needs of patients locally.
Each laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathology. Tests available from regional laboratories include pregnancy tests, strep tests, mononucleosis tests, influenza tests, urinalysis, wet preps and accuchecks. (Specific capabilities of each lab will vary.) Lab results are available electronically to physicians across our system so that your primary care physician and specialists are able to collaborate on your care. Please contact your local provider regarding specific laboratory tests necessary for your care.
Radiology services are also available to assist our providers in diagnosing and treating patients locally. At most locations radiology images are available digitally to radiologists in La Crosse for consultations. Some services, such as mammography and bone density testing, are available via mobile services that visit on a regular basis. Please speak with your local provider regarding radiology services appropriate for your care.

Social services
The medical Social Services Department is part of a multidisciplinary health care team assisting patients and families with issues related to care. The team works with the health care provider and other team members in understanding and addressing the significant social and emotional factors related to the provision of health services.
Most clinic and hospital departments have dedicated social workers who are trained in the specific needs of each unit. Patients and family members should speak to a nurse or physician in the department or hospital unit to access the appropriate social worker, or call 608-785-0940 and ask for Social Services.
The department vision is to put the needs of the patient first and collaborate to improve the health of the individuals and communities we serve. In support of the that mission and vision, and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, the department practices quality, patient-centered care.

The Joint Commission evaluates and accredits health care organizations and programs in the United States. The Joint Commission standards set performance expectations that affect the safety and quality of patient care. Its accreditation process evaluates an organization's compliance with these standards and other accreditation requirements.
