Tahlia Weis, M.D., Ph.D.

Vascular surgeons are the primary care specialists of peripheral vessels — once you shake hands with a vascular surgeon, we will routinely visit with you for life. As a vascular surgeon, I offer medical management and surgical interventions, both minimally invasive and open, to patients who have blood vessel diseases. Vascular surgeons specialize in blood vessels of the entire body, except inside the skull and on the heart.

My interests include carotid disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, complex aneurysm repair, mesenteric ischemia, Nutcracker syndrome and limb salvage. When I meet a patient, it's important for me to know who they are — not just their disease pattern — their home life and their support system. Additionally, it is vital that patients and their families have a solid grasp of what is happening to their body and what we, together, are going to do to help them manage this chronic disease. I strive to explain anatomy in a way that patients and their families can understand; that way, they can feel empowered to participate in and direct their healthcare.

I am a native Wisconsinite and grew up in West Bend. I am married and a mother of one son and two daughters, as well as three dogs, two cats and an axolotl. I enjoy outdoor activities, traveling, music and movie nights.
