I have learned that the best care provided to the patient is always patient-centered care. I believe that as a health care provider, I am here to serve the patient during their time of need. I believe in teamwork to achieve the best possible care outcomes.
I feel like I fell into my health care career. I started as an EMT-I in an emergency department, and worked in an ICU after obtaining my nursing degree. This gave me a better understanding of medicine. Once I completed my nurse practitioner education, I moved to Alaska and worked as a primary care provider.
While in Alaska, I met my wife who also works in the health care profession. I was born and raised in New Mexico. Growing up, I participated in everything outdoors, such as hunting, fishing, camping, backpacking and pretty much anything on a mountain.
