Alejandro Oliu, M.D.

My goal as a surgeon is to provide safe, compassionate and personalized care. I believe that surgery is more than an operation — it's a partnership. I take time to listen and help each patient feel supported and confident in their care. I am strongly passionate about bariatric surgery, and I understand that weight loss is a lifelong journey. I focus on using surgery as a tool while also guiding patients through the nutrition, lifestyle and emotional changes needed for long-term success. In addition, my practice also includes general surgery and a variety of foregut procedures.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, but have spent recent years in the Midwest during my surgical training. I have a wife and a dog, and I enjoy exploring the outdoors, traveling abroad to immerse in the food and culture and, of course, watching football! (Go Fins!).
