Located on the 2nd floor of our hospital, this is a 33 bed unit with an average census of 18 patients. Patients range in age from newborn to geriatric, with the vast majority being geriatric. The most common diagnosis treated are: respiratory conditions, orthopedics, diabetes and cancer. Surgical patients represent a variety of specialties: orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology and gynecology patients who have intensive medical history. There is one designated hospice bed and we work closely with the hospice staff. We have dedicated space utilized for oncology patients who are receiving chemotherapy. We also offer Transitional Care services.
