Samantha Glotfelty, M.D.

I believe in the importance of creating a thoughtful and reflective environment where my patients can feel that their concerns are not only heard but valued. With my patients, I aim to build a partnership where their care is centered within my role as their consultant. My patient’s experiences are a critical aspect of diagnosis, and I believe a provider’s listening is the foundation of providing safe and equitable care.

As the child of two non-native English speakers, I am extremely passionate about my patients feeling well-informed within our visits. It is my pleasure to assist patients in how to become advocates for their wellbeing within our hospital system, and I share in the joy experienced by patients as they become agents of their own health. I strive for each part of our visit to feel comfortable and welcome all questions that can help facilitate better understanding.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband Joel and our two pups, Hulk and Loki. As a family, we love to exercise together, explore state parks and spend time cooking our favorite meals. I also love to sew, dance (bachata, salsa and merengue), paint and take trips to visit my family out of state.
