Robert Wendt, M.D.

My goal in surgery is to improve patients' lives. Each patient is unique in their needs. I intend to work with my patients to see what their desires are for their medical care and come to a shared understanding as to how best treat my patients. In addition, I treat my patients as I would expect my family members to be treated.

I grew up in Petoskey Michigan. I completed my undergraduate training in human biology at Michigan State University. I stayed at Michigan State for medical school with an interest in rural or community-based medicine. I attended residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester in the rural and community track.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, outdoors and on the water.
