I view individuals and families as part of a system — a system within themselves and a system interacting with others and the world. I am knowledgeable in several evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT) and cognitive processing therapy (CPT), to name a few. I think of our relationship as being on the same team — recognizing strengths, overcoming barriers and successfully implementing steps to ultimately win at being your best self.
I am not from Wisconsin and would identify as a Midwesterner. I adhere to the core values and principles of what it means to be a social worker. I love learning about the world around me through books, visual media, podcasts and experiences. I love a good puzzle, whether literal or metaphorical, and feel great satisfaction when all the pieces come together. I am doing what I think I am called to do.
