Laura Carlson, APRN, C.N.P., D.N.P.

My practice philosophy centers on partnering with patients to help them make informed decisions that align with their individual goals, values, and preferences. I believe my role as a nurse practitioner is not simply to recommend a treatment, but to provide patients with the most up-to-date information, education, and support they need to understand their options and make decisions that are right for them. In gastroenterology, where patients may be facing complex diagnoses, chronic conditions, procedures, or difficult treatment decisions, I believe it is especially important to listen to what matters most to the patient rather than focusing solely on the disease.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors in the sunshine, staying active with my son and dogs, birdwatching, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts.
