Gerardo Calderon Manrique, M.D.

I believe the best care begins with listening. As a gastroenterologist with a special focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), I am committed to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. IBD is a chronic condition that requires long-term management, and I value building lasting relationships with my patients based on trust, communication and shared decision-making.

I work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including colorectal surgeons, pharmacists, dietitians, radiologists, pathologists and other specialists to develop individualized treatment strategies tailored to each patient's needs. My goal is not only to achieve disease remission, but also to improve quality of life and help patients confidently navigate every stage of their IBD journey.

I was born and raised in Mexico and enjoy caring for patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our dog, Stella. I love playing soccer and enjoy traveling, exploring new restaurants and spending time outdoors with family and friends. These experiences remind me of the importance of balance, connection and treating every patient with kindness and respect.
