Critical care providers are in the unique position to provide personalized care for patients at their sickest, while also caring for the patients' loved ones. It can be a challenging time for families and some patients are hospitalized for many days. During this period, critical care nurses and providers can develop strong bonds with patients and loved ones and help them through this time. I feel that I was called to work in critical care and enjoy caring for patients with complex medical conditions in this fast-paced environment.
When not at the hospital, I enjoy spending time with family and my two dogs.
