Brian Frederick, M.D.

My main focus is to understand my patient's goals for their medical care. I've heard many different types of goals over the years, and I hear about new goals every week. It's an honor to work with people in this capacity, and seeing people move in the direction of their goals is wonderfully gratifying.

I grew up in Chippewa Falls where I was active in sports and school activities, and then I moved to Madison for college and medical school, where I did more of the same.

These days, my wife and I spend most of our time trying to keep up with our two children and dogs. Coaching my son's sports teams has been great fun, but to keep up with my daughter, I've had to overcome my fear of heights to rock climb with her. On my first climb in the Chippewa Valley, I ascended the east face of Mount Simon, using ropes and safety devices, of course.
