Alex Peterson, APRN, C.N.P., M.S.N.

As a hospital medicine nurse practitioner, my practice is rooted in evidence-based care, clinical excellence and compassionate service. I am committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care that addresses the complex and evolving needs of hospitalized individuals. I believe in treating the whole person — not just the illness — by considering each patient's physical, emotional and social well-being. My approach blends critical thinking with compassion, allowing me to respond quickly to acute changes while remaining grounded in the values of dignity, respect and human connection. I see each patient encounter as an opportunity to educate, empower and make a positive difference in their health journey.

I live in Spirit Lake, Iowa, with my daughter, my girlfriend and her three children. I enjoy spending time with my family at our cabin in Northern Minnesota. We enjoy riding bikes on the trails and everything having to do with the water before the winter cold brings us indoors. In the colder winter months, we spend time together indoors playing board games, traveling to warmer weather and visiting family and friends.
