FAQ
Can triage nurses prescribe medications?
Our nurses cannot prescribe medications. If you need a new medication or refill, we recommend making an appointment. You can also message your primary care provider through the patient portal.
What if I need to see a provider?
Virtual visits are available through Primary Care On Demand Mayo Clinic Health System also offers in-person care at many locations in Minnesota and Wisconsin, including same-day care, primary care and specialty care.
