Janice Shelton, P.A.-C.

"The needs of the patients come first". This statement best clarifies how I approach my responsibilities as a Physician Assistant, helping patients under my care. I strive to insure that the most current and timely care is delivered with respect and honesty to all of my patients. I believe that educating patients about their medical issues and developing a medical health care plan together is essential in reaching the best possible out-comes for the patient and their family.

I was born in Mankato, MN and grew up on farm(s) near Gaylord and Madison Lake, MN. I graduated from Cleveland PHS and attended Bethany Lutheran College for one year. I served in both the United States Air Force and United States Navy, retiring as a Master Chief Petty Officer Hospital Corpsman.

I completed my Undergraduate degree in Health Science while on active duty. After retiring from the service 2004 I completed my Masters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies in 2004.

During my Internships I was hired by MCHS Mankato as a Surgical Physician Assistant. This afforded me the opportunity to return home to Minnesota. I loved serving my Country as a Hospital Corpsman and I love caring for my patients today.

My hobbies are spending time with my family and my many dogs, birds, and one cat. I love yard work, flower gardening, and wood working, I love to camp, enjoy riding bike and exploring National Parks.
