I treat my patients and families the same way that I'd like to be treated. I focus on providing a comfortable and safe experience in which the patient is able to voice their concerns and symptoms and be examined and discuss potential diagnostic testing as required. We work to determine a diagnosis and how to improve their symptoms and the appropriate treatment.
I also routinely focus on preventive health, as this is incredibly important to prevent the establishment of serious conditions before they arise. I strive to be on time, be professional and be honest. I do my utmost to help patients as best I can and enjoy partaking in medical research and student teaching. I believe our next generation will be taking care of us and thus, we should mentor them as best as we can.
I was born in Poland and raised in Germany. My family moved to Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. For high school and university, I moved to beautiful Calgary, Alberta. After graduation, I worked in Northern Canada as a fly-in physician for four years. I worked with Inuit and Aboriginal patients, and I was the sole physician working in nursing stations in the Arctic Circle. Later, my family and I moved to Mississippi, where I worked as a clinician and hospitalist before becoming a Clinical Director at a Community Health Center in Seattle, working with immigrant and homeless patients during the COVID pandemic.
During my free time, I enjoy volunteering and travelling and this has led me to work in St. Lucia, Tanzania and the Bronx. My hobbies include being outdoors and active with my husband and Doberman Pinscher and attending car shows and concerts. I try to live my life to the fullest!
