MANKATO, Minn. — Mayo Clinic Health System announced the birth of the first baby of the New Year in its Mankato hospital.
Abdurahman Ilyas Mohamud, a boy, was born at 5:11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020, to parents Amino Mohamed and Ilyas Ahmed of North Mankato, Minnesota. Abdurahman weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 21 inches long at birth.
The most popular names for babies born at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato in 2019 were Olivia, Harper and Charlotte for girls and Henry, Mason and Oliver for boys.
