FAIRMONT, Minn. ― Tricia Matheson, a desk operations specialist at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, has been recognized with Mayo Clinic's Mae Berry Service Excellence Award. This award is Mayo's highest honor in service excellence.
The Mae Berry Service Excellence Award honors eight nonphysician staff members from across the Mayo Clinic enterprise.
Those recognized exhibit:
- Excellence in customer service by giving timely, reliable attention to the needs of patients and co-workers.
- Sincere pride in being a service worker.
- Inspiration to others to replicate service behaviors.
The Mae Berry Service Excellence Award is endowed by Leonard Berry, Ph.D. It is given to those who act selflessly to meet the needs of patients and approach them as the highest priority. Berry is recognized as one of the leading authorities on customer service, and he endowed the Mae Berry Service Excellence Award in honor of his mother.
