LA CROSSE, Wis. ― The American Cancer Society says breast cancer is the second most common cancer among women in the U.S., with nearly 1 in 8 women receiving this diagnosis. From lifestyle changes and preventive screening options to genetic counseling and personalized cancer treatment options, Mayo Clinic Health System providers feel community members can prioritize breast health in many ways ― all while keeping their future in mind.
Breast Care Center providers Caroline Wilker, M.D., and M. Kathleen Christian, M.D., will speak at "Prioritize Your Health: Breast Cancer Risk and Treatment" — a virtual community education forum to be held on Oct. 26 at 4 p.m. The physicians will discuss breast cancer, including preventive measures, and advancements in personalized medicine and treatment.
Upon registration, you will receive an email with a link to access the forum using Zoom. Check your junk mail if you don't receive this email.
