EAU CLAIRE, Wis. ― In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mayo Clinic Health System is encouraging all patients to have their prescriptions mailed to their home at no cost. Also, for everyone's safety, pharmacies will begin curbside pickup for prescriptions, beginning Tuesday, March 24, at all Mayo Clinic Health System pharmacy locations across Northwest Wisconsin.
Here is how curbside pickup for prescriptions will work:
- When you arrive at a Mayo Clinic pharmacy location to pick up a prescription, pull up to the main clinic entrance and park your vehicle.
- Text pharmacy staff that you have arrived. Be prepared to give the following information: Patient name, date of birth, and color and make of vehicle. Phone numbers are provided at each site. If you do not have a phone, come to the entrance door of the pharmacy. You can enter the building, but do not enter the pharmacy.
- A staff member will provide further instructions and deliver medications to your vehicle when the order is ready.
No-visitor policy in effect
Until further notice, all hospitals and clinics at Mayo Clinic Health System in Northwest Wisconsin have implemented a no-visitor policy for everyone's safety. Exceptions to this policy for inpatient care include one visitor for end-of-life patients, birth of a child and pediatric patients. Also, one visitor will be allowed for outpatient care if the patient has a physical or cognitive impairment or is a minor. All visitors will be screened to assess for COVID-19 symptoms.
Mayo Clinic Health System understands that these restrictions will be difficult for patients and their loved ones. We are taking these necessary steps to protect everyone's safety. Family members are encouraged to consider other ways to connect with their loved ones, such as by phone or other devices.
