Belle Plaine changing COVID-19 testing protocols
MANKATO, Minn. ― Testing for COVID-19 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Belle Plaine will be by appointment only beginning Monday, Feb. 1.
In addition, testing hours will change to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Due to decreasing demand, appointments will no longer be available on weekends beginning the weekend of Jan. 30-31, 2021.
The change to an appointment basis will increase efficiency and provide a more accurate time frame for patients who need to be tested for COVID-19. Patients can also use a new “Check Symptoms” feature in the Patient Online Services portal beginning Feb. 1 to self-schedule an appointment to be tested for COVID-19.
Current patients, as well as those who haven’t received care at Mayo Clinic Health System previously, may also call the Mayo Clinic COVID-19 Nurse Line at 507-293-9525 to inquire about testing and schedule an appointment.
Visit Mayo Clinic Health System’s COVID-19 resource site for contact information; the most up-to-the-minute information about COVID-19; and what to do if you have symptoms, unrelated health care needs, or need to visit someone at the clinic or hospital.
