    Pediatrics - Speech

    Therapists provide individualized speech, language and social communication services to children in need, including diagnostic and therapy services. An in depth evaluation will be performed for you and an appropriate plan of care, including home exercises, will be developed to treat your individual needs.

    Therapists treat speech disorders caused by a number of conditions including:

    • Autism spectrum disorders (ASD)
    • Genetic syndromes (e.g., Down syndrome, Williams syndrome, Turner syndrome, Angelman syndrome, etc.)
    • Articulation and motor speech disorders, including apraxia/dyspraxia, dysarthria alone or secondary to other diagnoses
    • Neurological disorders (e.g., cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, stroke), unspecified neurological dysfunction, seizure disorders
    • Receptive and expressive language disorders/delays and specific language impairment (SLI)
    • Fluency/stuttering
    • Phonologic disorders
    • Craniofacial abnormalities
    • Semantic and/or pragmatic language disorders
    • Auditory processing disorders
    • Hearing impairments and/or multi-sensory impairments
    • Sensory integration dysfunction
    • Cognitive/attention impairments
    • Literacy and pre-literacy issues
    • Voice disorders
    • Feeding or swallowing issues, myofunctional/tongue thrust pattern
