December 2019: The Fairmont Employee Engagement Team wanted to make a difference this holiday season. They asked Mayo Clinic Health System Chaplain Russ Steele to work with area church personnel to identify families in need who may not ask. Employees contributed items to make 10 Christmas dinner boxes including a ham.
October 2019: Fairmont Junior Senior High School is appreciative to Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont for their $1500 donation. This donation will be used to develop our Wellness Rooms, which will support the health and well-being of our students. Our Wellness Rooms will give them the opportunity to take a supportive break so they can focus in class and be successful in life. Thanks again for giving our students this great opportunity.
October 2019: Apple Tree Dental is pleased to announce it is the recipient of a generous multi-year grant pledge from the Schmeeckle Foundation, totaling $2.39 million over five years. The grant will launch a new Apple Tree Dental - Fairmont Center for Dental Health that will be located within the Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont campus.

Mayo Clinic Health system in Fairmont is partnering with Fairmont Area High School to provide a Job Shadow Program during the second semester. Students rotate among eight departments including Nutrition Services, Radiology, Supply Chain Management, and Rehabilitation Services.
Mayo Clinic Health System awarded a Hometown Health Grant for $1,500 to MCW Trimont Elementary - Martin County West Schools, for roller skates for physical education classes.
