In spring 2018, a new Barron hospital wing opened its doors to patients and family members.
The $4.9 million, 8,640-square-foot project includes 10 new rooms for patients who require an overnight or multiday stay. Each room is nearly twice the size of previous rooms. There is plenty of space for family and visitors to participate in their loved one’s recovery and accommodate some therapies and procedures within the room.
Rooms include wireless internet access, televisions, private bathrooms and showers, and integrated ceiling lift systems. Patient meals are provided by a room-service style menu.
A new family lounge will be the perfect place for visitors to relax, enjoy refreshments or have private conversations while remaining near their loved ones.
Also with this project, a 5,000-square-foot shell space was constructed for future replacement of the Family Birth Center.
