Community Education: Hospice Volunteer Training

The Hospice Program at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin is looking for volunteers from Austin and surrounding communities to help provide support to terminally ill patients and their families.
Volunteer tasks include sitting with patients in their homes, family support, errands, transportation, bereavement follow-up, musical companionship, and office work. You may choose the tasks in which you prefer to participate. Volunteer time is very flexible and you may choose the tasks in which you prefer to participate.
Registration is required and attendance is required on both dates. The training is free for any adult at least 18 years of age and holds a valid driver’s license. If you are interested in volunteering or for more information contact Hospice at 507-434-1415.
